STFC: Ethiopi-I-I-Iffy-Iffy-I

Former Swindon Town player and manager Iffy Onuora has been appointed the new Head Coach of the Ethiopia National Team.

In 2005 Iffy Onuora was promoted from his work as coach of the Swindon youth set-up to replace Andy King as Town manager. However, Onuora was unable to prevent Swindon from getting relegated into League Two that year.

He later moved on to Gillingham as a coach and then onto Lincoln City - he served as a caretaker manager at both of those clubs.

Onuora has signed a one year deal and will relocate to Ethiopia (unlike many other foreign appointed managers). His target will be to try and get Ethiopia into the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ethiopia are currently ranked 123rd in the FIFA World Rankings.
