Curo Finally Signs With Col U

Jamie Cureton has finally departed the County Ground for Colchester United today after agreeing a 2 year contract with the U'S.

Cureton who won over the Colchester faithful by scoring 7 goals during his 2 month loan spell at Layer Road last season, has decided to ply his trade once more in the Championship.

Heading north of 30, Cureton knows his footballing days are limited and wishes to test himself once more at a higher level.

Cureton had a 2 year contract at the County Ground, however as the club were relegated, he was able to enact a clause to leave the club.

No he won't be missed. You would not believe all the sitters he missed for us. I reckon he will end up being a bench warmer next season.
