STFC: Town Miss Out on Bye

Swindon Town have missed out on missing the Johnstone's Paint Trophy First Round.

Last season Town entered the competition in the Second Round where the club knocked out Exeter City on penalties.

This season the southern section First Round byes have been given to Barnet, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Colchester United, Hereford United, Milton Keynes Dons, Plymouth Argyle and Wycombe Wanderers.

Swindon Town could, however, be drawn to play old friends Oxford United who have returned to the Football League after spending three seasons in Non-League football.

The First Round draw takes place on popular Sky Sports television show Soccer A.M. on Saturday 14th August.
