STFC: Town Join Gow Race

STFC: Town Join Gow Race

Swindon Town have held talks with former Airdrie United and Falkirk forward ALAN GOW.

The Advertiser states that Gow was in Swindon on Friday to discuss terms, which were agreed, and now hope to conclude a deal on Tuesday.

However, Town face competition with St. Mirren among the many clubs who are said to be also interested in Gow's services.

The 27 year old Scotsman started his career with Clydebank, his hometown club, before moving to Airdrie United in 2002 and then to Falkirk in 2005.

He exploits for The Bairns earned him a move to Rangers but he was unable to break into the first team. Gow was sent out on loan to England with Blackpool and Norwich City before Plymouth Argyle paid £200,000 for his services last summer. Under Paul Sturrock, Gow enjoyed first team football for the Pilgrims but after the former Town manager was dismissed Gow spent the rest of the campaign with Hibernian on loan.

Quite a queue of suitors. I hope we took a ticket from the counter!

Yes but after his little try at upping the anti - he is not the ticket - let him do his dirty work else where for some other club.
