STFC: Wilson Ends Collins + Askou Pursuit

STFC: Wilson Ends Collins + Askou Pursuit

Danny Wilson has reportedly failed to attract a central defender to the club on a permanent basis as the Transfer Window is set to close later today (Aug 31).

The Swindon Town manager was believed to be interested in raiding former club Hartlepool United for Sam Collins. The 33 year old had a brief spell at Swindon on loan in 2007 before joining Hartlepool.

Wilson was also said to be actively pursuing Norwich City's Danish defender Jens Berthel Askou but after watching him play in the Carling Cup, he ended his interest.

Unless there is a change in circumstances, Swindon Town will now look at brining in a defender on loan.

I wouldn't be mashing F5 shaunfire... It sounds like it's going to be a quiet afternoon.
