Swindon V Rest Of The World?

Swindon V Rest Of The World?

Swindon Town are planning a match against 11 top stars in the footballing world thanks to manager Dennis Wise Contacts.

Chief Executive Mark Devlin explained, 'Dennis has spoken to Gianfranco Zola about putting on an exhibition friendly.'

'It could be during the season or maybe during the next pre-season but it is something that we would be keen to do.'

'Dennis has some significant contacts with some outstanding players and it would be wonderful if we could do it.'

'It has been lower down the pecking order than player acquisitions and pre-season friendlies but it is something we're looking at.'

Gianfranco Zola himself has been linked to Swindon Town due to his friendship with Dennis Wise however this seems to be a case of adding two and two together and getting five.

Zola looked impressive in the England V Rest Of the World, Soccer Aid match at Old Trafford Two weeks ago, however happily retired it would take a lot to tempt Zola to lace the boots back up at the County Ground.

probably older than all the youth team put together. Mind you he would probably put a fewof our unfit first teamers to shame who are half his age.

I'd sooner concentrate on the position we are in, as mentioned get our players fit and in the right frame of mind, this is a distraction.
