Danny Wilson will be taking his players to Crawley Town in the Second Round of the F.A. Cup in what will be the first competitive fixture between the two.

However, the two clubs have only met on one other occasion and that was a friendly at Crawley in the summer of 2005. Swindon Town won the game 4-3 with braces from Jamie Cureton and Michael Pook. Simon Wormull, Steve Burton and Ian Simpemba scored for the home side.

Current Town number one Phil Smith played for the Red Devils between 2004-2006. He played 73 times for Crawley and was cappled once by England C for his efforts at the Broadfield Stadium.

Former Town flops Jimmy Glass and loanee Kevin James both ended up at Crawley for a brief time after playing for Swindon.

Michel Kuipers

Veteran goalkeeper who famously served with the Dutch Marines before going into football with Door Wilskracht Sterk and then moving into the English game with Bristol Rovers in 1999.

He joined Brighton & Hove Albion in 2000 and stayed for a decade clocking over 240 games for the Seagulls.

Kuipers turned down the opportunity to become goalkeeping coach at Brighton to join Crawley.

Pablo Mills

A former England youth cap with plenty of Football League experience with Derby County (56 league apps), MK Dons (loan) and Walsall (loan) before settling with Rotherham United in 2006.

Mills made 138 league appearances before being released last summer.

Danny Hall

26 year old defender who started his career with Oldham Athletic, making 64 league appearances before spending two seasons with Shrewsbury Town between 2006 and 2008.

After a brief stint with Gretna he returned to the English Football League with Chesterfield playing only 32 times in two seasons.

He joined Crawley in May 2010.

Kyle McFadzean

A young defender who joined Crawley during the summer for an undisclosed fee from Alfreton Town.

McFadzean spent two years as a professional with Sheffield United after graduating from their youth system.

Sam Rents

A local defender who started his career with Brighton but after two years as a professional and 30 league appearances he was released.

Rents joined Crawley in 2008 and has been a regular throughout his career.

Dean Howell

A 29 year old defensive midfielder who has plenty of lower league and Non-League experience with Notts County, Crewe Alexandra, Rochdale (loan), Southport, Morecambe, Halifax Town, Colchester United, Weymouth, Grays Athletic, Rushden & Diamonds, Aldershot Town and loan spell with Bury.

He joined Crawley in July 2010 after being released by Aldershot Town.

Steven Masterton

Scottish midfielder who started as a youth with Rangers and Kilmarnock before playing over 100 times in the Scottish leagues with Clyde and Greenock Morton,

He joined Crawley in June 2010.

Dannie Bulman

Very experienced midfielder who started with Middlesex Non-League football outfit Ashford Town before joining Wycombe Wanderers in 1998. Bulman played 202 league games for Wanderers before joining Stevenage and then spending a season on loan with Crawley between 2006-2007.

The loan spell was made permanent but left in 2009 to join Oxford United.

Bulman re-joined Crawley on loan in September.

Scott Neilson

Winger who started his career as a kid with Norwich City and Charlton Athletic. However, he failed to make the grade and dropped into Non-League football with Hertford Town and then at Ware where he enjoyed a prolific spell that earned him a move to Cambridge City and then a move to the Football League with Bradford City in 2009.

Neilson spent some time out of loan at Cambridge United before joining Crawley in 2010.

Craig McAllister

A Scottish born forward who has plenty of Non-League experience with Eastleigh, Basingstoke Town, Stevenage, Woking, Gray Athletic and Oxford United.

McAllister enjoyed a brief stint in the football league with Exeter City and then on loan spells with Barnet and Rotherham United.

He joined Crawley on free during pre-season.

Matt Tubbs

Will be a familiar name with many Swindon Town fans. The forward is a Wiltshireman who has been linked to the club several times in the past.

He began his career as a pro with Bolton Wanderers and Bournemouth but joined Dorchester Town in 2003 without making a league outing.

Tubbs joined his hometown club Salisbury City in 2003 and scored over 100 league goals as the club climbed up to the top flight of Non-League football.

His goalscoring exploits earned him a loan move to Bournemouth in 2008 but no permanent deal materialised.

He joined during the summer and already has 12 league goals to his name this season.

Sergio Torres

Argentine midfielder who played in Non-League with Molesey and Basingstoke Town before joing the Football League with Wycombe Wanderers, Peterborough and a loan spell with Lincoln City.

Jamie Cook

Now in his second spell at Crawley. The 31 year old has played for Oxford United (twice), Boston United, Stevenage, Witney United and Rushden & Diamonds during his career.

Barry Cogan

Irishman who started his career with Millwall and came on a sub during the 2004 F.A. Cup Final loss to Manchester United.

Later played for Barnet, Gillingham and Grays Athletic before joining Crawley in 2009.

Nick Jordan

Teenage goalkeeper who was previously with Portsmouth and Exeter City.

Chris Flood

Former Queens Park Rangers youth midfielder who later played over 50 times for Salisbury City.

Signed for Crawley during pre-season for a record fee of £10,000.

Ben Smith

31 year old former Arsenal and Reading youngster settled with Yeovil Town between 1998 and 2001 playing over 100 times.

Went on to play for Southend United, Hereford United, Shrewsbury Town, Weymouth and again with Hereford before joining Crawley in 2009.
