STFC: Austin in Tame Reading Link

STFC: Austin in Tame Reading Link

Sky Sports don't operate the January transfer window, they just wish they did!

In the last 24 hours they have linked Austin to the club that rejected him as a junior.

Austin, 'one of the most sought-after players in this month's transfer window' will leave Swindon sooner or later but Town have stood firm and refused to let their prize asset leave the club.

Earlier this week BBC pundit Steve Claridge linked Birmingham City with a move for Austin but Town chairman Andrew Fitton dismissed the link by saying that
he was 'not avoiding any phone calls and I haven`t received one from them.'

It's important to appreciate that Austin will depart Town and Fitton explained that Swindon Town were 'not going to mess him around so he doesn`t get his dream but we have to manage it properly and I think he has the confidence that we`ll do that for him'.
