STFC: Morrison Going... Going...

Promising Swindon Town central defender Sean Morrison looks set to conclude his Swindon Town career by joining Championship outfit Reading this weekend.

The Royals looks likely to activate the clause within Morrison's contract that will allow the 20 year old to leave for 250,000.

There is talk of a Reading player moving in the opposite direction but no concrete names have been announced.

Morrison has frankly been hit-and-miss this season and has desperately struggled to replace influential captain Gordon Greer. In fact, one would argue that his main contribution this season has been through scoring goals as opposed to preventing conceding any!

However, at only 20 he's still got plenty of learning to do and has a great opportunity to step up to the next level.

The reaction of Morrison's pending exit has been met with much disappointment and some outrage.

However, it was Morrison who moved to put the 250,000 clause in his contract during a time when he couldn't get a look in due to Greer and Cuthbert's great partnership.

250,000 is todays transfer climate is not really to be sniffed at.
