Ajax Keeper On Trial At Swindon

Swindon Town Manager Dennis Wise has revealed that the club has a goalkeeper from Ajax on trial.

Many fans have greeted the recent signing's at Swindon Town with quiet optomism however an area all fans are concerned about right now is the goalkeeping situation. Swindon Town have been without a senior goalkeeper since Rhys Evans departure to Blackpool and the release of Matt Bulman. Wise commented that the club will be just fine in the goalkeeping department.

Speaking to Swindon Town's official site Wise said, 'We have a goalkeeper over from Ajax at the moment who is doing ok. There are a couple of others we have an eye on but we will be fine as far as keepers go.'

Bristol City goalkeeper Steve Phillips is believed to be on trial at Swindon also with hopes of taking the number one shirt.

Seems like Wisey is not going to panic with this situation, I hope he gets the right ones, Rhys is quite an act to follow. I did wonder why he didn't make a bigger effort to keep him.

Do not think Rhys is that of an act to follow to be honest. He was an average keeper no more no less in my opinion. This one should be o.k as a number 2 with phillips no1.

if he was on ajax books there must be something about him . Rhys was a good keeper but he was no digby .

if he's from ajax, he should be decent!

Does anyone knows the name of this Ajax goalkeeper? I think of Henrik Moisander, a finnish talented goalkeeper.

Don't particularly want Bristol City cast offs again, looked at what they given us so far. With the exception of Wayne Allison of course.
