Wise Names Swindon Captain

Former Reading Captain Ady Williams, will take over the departed Sean O'Hanlon as on field captain.

Williams who joined Swindon last month from Coventry City is excited about the prospect of being given the Captains armband. Speaking to Swindon Town's official website Williams said, 'I have done the job before at Reading so hopefully if we can have the same sort of success here as I did at Reading that we will be on an upward curve.'

A few fans knocked the fact that former captain Sean O'Hanlon was not very vocal during games, and did not encourage the team to communicate. That should not be an issue this season Williams stated, 'Something I have always done on the pitch is communicate and be very vocal. It will be up to the experienced lads to help the younger ones along but it's a team game and we are all in it together'

Christian Roberts has been named vice captain by Dennis Wise, while Andy Gurney has been named club captain.
