STFC: Hart Dismissed

STFC: Hart Dismissed

Paul Hart and Ian McParland have today left club by 'mutual consent'.

The former Nottingham Forest manager was assigned the tough task to change Swindon's ailing fortunes.

However, it proved to be a disaster with Swindon only winning one of his eleven games in charge thus making his tenure the shortest full-time management spell in Swindon Town history (replacing Dennis Wise).

Interim chairman Jeremy Wray commented that the doomed management duo 'inherited a very difficult position and while ultimately the club was unsuccessful in its fight against relegation' and that the Swindon Town board 'would like to place on record its gratitude for all the energy and efforts expended by Paul and Ian during their time with the club.'

The club have immediately stated that they have started their search for a new manager.
