STFC: Caretaker Zippy had 'no hesitation'

Former Swindon Town favourite Paul Bodin has been installed as Town manager for the remaining two games of the season.

Bodin, who his the current youth team manager, has stepped in for the departing Paul Hart.

The former Welsh international told the Advertiser that he 'came into training as normal and Jeremy (Wray) and Nick (Watkins) came into the youth office and told me the situation and asked me to take charge for the last couple of games and obviously I had no hesitation doing that.'

Bodin's only over senior management experience was a spell as manager of Bath City in the 1990's. However he told the press that he has been associated with Swindon Town for 'many, many years as a player and as a coach. I have seen an awful lot of things go on and an awful lot of managers come and go, but it was still a bolt out of the blue to get this opportunity now and it is something I want to grasp.'

Paul Bodin's brief tenure could see the integration of youth into the first team but younger players such as Nathan Thompson, Will Evans and Abdul Said are all currently injured.
