Argyle Join Town in League 2

Plymouth Argyle today joined Swindon Town in League Two after they were condemned to relegation by Southampton, who themselves essentially secured their promotion to The Championship.

Had it not been for behind-the-scenes turmoil at the club, Argyle would have been safe but financial woes led to a 10 point deduction.

To their credit, they put on far more of a fight than Swindon Town did.

Argyle and Town will be joined by Bristol Rovers who are all but down. They need results to go their way and to win by a rugby scoreline to stay up!

Only one relegation spot is uncertain. Either Walsall, Dagenham and Redbridge and Notts County can find themselves doomed.
