Piccareta: 'not in the air!'

Recently appointed Swindon Town assistant manager, Fabrizio Piccareta, has given his first interview since arriving in Wiltshire.

Piccareta, who has been an associate of Di Canio's since 2008, was once employed as a coach at Italian giant Internazionale.

The Italian spoke of his delight at the opportunity of being involved in this project, Piccareta told the official Swindon Town website that he was 'honoured that he (Di Canio) asked me to join him here at Swindon. We have the same thoughts on the game; we want to see the team play good football.'

Piccareta emphasised on their desire to bring an attractive brand of football to the County Ground, he said that good football 'will be our main goal to convince the players here that football is a game that we have to play on the ground, not in the air!'
