Bodin set to reject Torquay

Bodin set to reject Torquay

Swindon Town youth team coach and old terrace favourite Paul Bodin is set to reject the chance to become assistant manager at Torquay United.

It was believed that the former Wales international was set to end his association with Swindon to link up with his friend and fellow Town alumni Martin Ling at Plainmoor.

However, in a refreshing act of acknowledging loyalty, the Town board have offered Bodin a new deal that will see him remain at the club.

Torquay United's board were keen for Ling to appoint a player/coach but gave him permission to seek a non-playing right hand man which meant that he could persue his old pal.

However, Bodin has told the Advertiser that the Swindon board 'are preparing to offer me something to keep me longer-term at the club, which is fantastic.'
