Lucas free to leave
Swindon have confirmed that they have given David Lucas permission to seek a transfer away from Wiltshire.
The 33 year old goalkeeper has cited personal reasons with his wife and children wishing to return to the north.
This is fair enough but one wonders if this would be happening if:
1) We were still in League One
and probably more likely
2) If Douglas, Prutton, Sheehan and friends were still at the club.
Call me a cynic!
Lucas was a regular fixture during his first season helping Town get to Wembley but struggled with fitness and form in his second and seemingly final campaign.
Lucas is currently training with Rochdale.
