Summer Signing #6: Ibrahim Atiku
The Advertisr reports that IBRAHIM ATIKU has signed a two year deal with Swindon Town
A childhood friend of Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien. The 28 year old attacking midfielder started his career in his native Ghana with Liberty Professionals (where he spent some time on loan in Israel).
He later moved to Sweden and played for Västerås, Friska Viljor, Assyriska Föreningen, Sylvia (loan) and Vasalund (Atiku obtained Swedish citizenship in 2005).
Most recently he was with Greek outfit Ethnikos Piraeus but during his career Atiku has had trials with Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund (as a teenager) and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
