Former Swindon Town striker, Sam Parkin will be looking to show the Ipswich Fans what he can do after returning from a broken ankle.
Parkin who was known as 'Super Sammy' in Swindon, has returned to action for Ipswich Town against F.C Dordrecht.
Parkin who had a rough first season with the Tractorboys is hoping is second season will bring him success in the Championship.
Parkin scored 5 goals for Ipswich in 17 starts, will be looking to silence the Ipswich fans who booed the former Swindon Town hero prior to him breaking his ankle last season.
Fans became restless with Parkin when he failed to score at Portman Road. Fans expected results right away at home, despite being the teams top scorer at the time.
Parkin who was recovering from injury came to the County Ground last season to see his former team mates and still follows Swindon closely.
Parkin returned at the end of last season but suffered another set back after re-injuring his ankle. Parkin had another scare this pre-season when he had to miss games due to a bruised foot.
Parkin scored over 60 goals in 3 seasons at the County Ground before deciding to test himself at a higher level prior to last season.
Swindon Town have never fully recovered from the loss of Parkin and hope to do so this season with Lee Peacock and the rejuvinated Christian Roberts.
