Another Town match postponed

Another Town match postponed

Wiltshire and Gloucestershire Police have had Swindon Town's trip to Cheltenham Town scheduled for this Saturday postponed.

As it stands the only other game to fall victim on the recent civil unrest throughout England is Tottenham Hotspur vs. Everton... Tottenham being the location of some of the worst protests turned rioting.

However, it seems the police cannot spare the sufficent police officers to look after a League Two fixture.

It seems odd to me and Swindon Chief Executive Nick Watkins appears to share the sentiments of the many bemused Town fans.

Watkins told the official Swindon website that the club 'have played Cheltenham seven times before and it is not a fixture that have been tarnished with any trouble.'

A new date is yet to be arranged.
