Amankwaah exits Town

Experienced right back Kevin Amankwaah has had his contract terminated by mutual consent the club have confirmed.

The former Bristol City defender was signed by Maurice Malpas in the summer of 2008 after his release by Swansea City.

The 29 year old made 89 league appearances for Swindon over three full seasons. He was a part of the side that made the League One Play-Offs in 2010. He also scored a penalty in the shoot-out victory at Charlton Athletic in the Semi-Final.

Amankwaah was out-of-contract at the end of the season.
