Swindon Town To Sign Murray On Loan

Paolo Di Canio will bring in his latest striker today in the form of Ronan Murray from Championship side Ipswich Town.

Murray scored a brace for the tractor boys second string earlier in the week, which was enough to prove that the charismatic Italian should take a punt on the 20 year old as he looks for his nasty striker in the box.

Even though the loan move has yet to be confirmed by the County Ground, Ipswich boss Paul Jewell has already let the cat out of the bag.

'We think that Ronan Murray will be going to Swindon, which would be a great move for him,' Jewell told Ipswich Town's official website.

'I hope that the deal goes through for Ronan's sake, because he's a terrific lad and he needs to go to a level where he's going to play games and score a few goals, which I'm sure he will.

Murray had a loan spell at Torquay United last season scoring 1 goal in 7 appearances.

The 20 year old has represented the republic of Ireland at various levels in his career, including receiving a call-up to the Under 21 squad in March this year.
