Swindon Hoping To Secure Benson Loan Deal

Swindon Hoping To Secure Benson Loan Deal

Swindon Town hope to announce the loan signing of Charlton Athletic Paul Benson.

Benson was set to complete a switch to League Two rivals Bradford City however the move fell through.

Depending which series of events you believe, Bradford stated Benson did not pass the medical, however other sources say that Bradford could not meet the asking price of the Addicks which meant Benson`s rumoured move to the County Ground was back on.

As of 9:30 this morning no Football League clearance has been gained for the move although it is understood that Benson will train with the Town squad today prior to the clubs home fixture against Aldershot Town.

In other news, confusion surrounds Matia Lanzano`s exit from the club, on their facebook page last night STFC said Lanzano remains at the club although quotes attributed directly to Di Canio state that Lanzano is going back to Italy.
