Leon Clarke Returns To Swindon, For Now
Leon Clarke is set to return to Swindon Town today after his loan spell at Chesterfield came to an end.
Clarke famously fell out with Paolo Di Canio after Swindon were knocked out of the Carling Cup by Southampton, was sent packing after PDC branded the striker as "lazy" and "totally unprofessional" after only 11 days at the club. Clarke had a decent loan spell at the struggling League One side scoring 9 goals for the club and opinion whether Clarke should become a permanent signing for Chesterfield is split amongst their fans.
Di Canio has said he hopes that Clarke`s return to Swindon is short and if he bothers to show up for training he will be treated like any other player however Di Canio has stated he goes Clarke back out on loan, preferably to Chesterfield and that the player has no future at the County Ground.
