Timlin Won't Return To Swindon Town

Swindon Town have confirmed that midfielder Michael Timlin is set to depart the club after they agreed a fee with Southend United for the midfielder to remain at Roots Hall.

Timlin started the season in Paolo Di Canio`s starting XI but soon fell out of favour with the Italian and was sent packing to Southend on loan once again, where Timlin enjoyed a good loan spell last season.

Timlin has been an integral part of the Southend Team who went 17 games unbeaten and currently sit in the automatic promotion places in League Two.

It is believed the agreed fee is a five figure sum and Southend will honour the contract Timlin signed with Swindon until the end of the 2012/13 season.

The move will become permanent once the transfer window opens in 11 days time.
