Swindon Agree Fee With Gillingham For Rooney


Swindon Town have agreed a fee with Gillingham for Luke Rooney.

Town had a bid rejected last week for the highly rated midfielder after Town made it known publicly they had made a bid for the player.

Gillingham had been keen to ink the youngster to a new contract however when talks broke down, Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler benched him.

Talks recently resumed betwene Gillingham and Rooney however it looks as if Rooney`s Gillingham days are over although he has been added to the playing squad again.

Rooney has got mixed reviews from Gills fans with some saying he goes a stray during games whilst others say he is quality.

The amount of the fee is undisclosed at this time.
