Constable Rejects Swindon Town

Finally the James Constable to Swindon Town saga is over.

Oxford United this afternoon accepted a bid from Swindon Town for the popular James Constable.

The Oxford United website now said that Constable was to meet with Swindon to discuss a switch after talking to the player, however it turns out that Constable has rejected the chance to even hear what Swindon have to offer and will remain at the Kassam Stadium for now.

Constable had appeared to want to talk to Swindon Town after the bid was accepted, however after various bashings and threats on various message boards and on Constable's own Twitter account constable decided to stay at Oxford.

Constable had maintained he would not move to another Legaue Two club and turned down the chance to move to Bournemouth earlier on this season.

Most Town fans would have been happy enough with Constable moving down the A420 whilst a small minority of idiots at Oxford sent vile threats to the player known as Beano.

Atleast now we can move on from this circus and use the money earmarked for Constable's move on other targets.
