Jordan Pavett Quietly Leaves Swindon Town

Jordan Pavett has left the County Ground after his contract expired yesterday.

Pavett won the Samsung win a pro contract competition last season but failed to make any first team appearances since winning the competition.

Pavett was named on the bench once in Town's final game last season which was a 2-0 win over Tranmere Rovers under then caretaker boss Paul Bodin.

Current Town boss Paolo Di Canio clearly never saw enough from Pavett to give him a shot at a place in the first team since his arrival.

Pavett was recently on loan to the Heyford Swifts before going on trial at Blue Square Bet Premier side Cambridge United last week.

Cambridge boss Jez George says he is keen to look at Pavett in a game situation telling the Cambridge media, 'He`s a lad I tried to sign as a scholar when he left Ipswich at 16, but he chose to go to Colchester.

'He just contacted me last week to tell me about his situation and we said we`d have a look at him train for a week and see if we could help him.

'Whether that will be here or somewhere else, I`m not sure how it`s going to pan out.

'But he has trained well and we`ll have a chat with him after the weekend.

'Ideally, we`d want to see him in a game to see if he could add something for us.'

Good Luck Jordan.
