Sources: Barnet V Swindon To Be Postponed

Swindon Town`s League Two fixture with Barnet is expected to be postponed tomorrow.

The pitch at Underhill is currently covered however the pitch is currently rock hard and is currently unplayable.

Barnet are not expected to bring in any external resource to try and get the match on with temperatures dipping towards minus 10 anything that may help the pitch is unlikely to be sufficient in getting the match on.

London is expected to be hit by heavy snow tonight which will make thawing the pitch near impossible for Saturday`s fixture.

Temperatures are expected to warm up Saturday and Sunday but sources close to Barnet are almost certain the fixture will fall foul of the winter weather and an announcement that the match will be postponed is expected tomorrow afternoon.

Not the best news for Town`s whose fixture list is already backlogged although player safety is paramount.
