Holmes hoping to make Swindon Home

Swindon Town`s latest loan signing Lee Holmes has admitted that the he would love to turn his loan spell into something more permanent at the end of the season.

Holmes is out of contract at Southampton at the end of the season and is keen to impress Paolo Di Canio as we head into the final month of the season.

Speaking to the Swindon Advertiser, Holmes said, "It (a permanent deal) is something that I would like to have if Swindon will have me.

"At the moment I have signed until the end of the season, but there have been little bits of things spoken about".

Holmes is also free to play in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy final in just over a week`s time at Wembley and it appears Di Canio is giving Holmes the chance to earn a permanent deal after impressing against Swindon Town for Oxford United 2 weeks ago.
