Gillingham Release Pointless Statement

Gillingham Football Club have bizarrely released a statement that says absolutely nothing about the current status of the Gillingham V Swindon Town fixture due to take place a week from Saturday.

The statement reads as follows 'The chairman can confirm that he has been in discussion with Kent Police.

Talks are ongoing, but the club will be making no further comment.'

Well done for clearing that up.

This situation is an absolute shambles and we will reiterate that we will be incredibly upset if Swindon Town pay towards policing costs for this fixture.

Every other league club has to meet their policing bills so should Gillingham FC. Also Gillingham did not help pay towards the cost of policing at Swindon.

A club who refuses to pay their policing costs should be kicked out of the Football League in our opinion.

There is no word from the Football League how they feel about the current situation.
