Who Is Heading For The County Ground Exit?

With promotion secured back to League One, who is likely to exit the club in the Summer?

Mehdi Kerrouche -Town`s top goal scorer for much of the season seemingly fell out of favour with Di Canio due to his attitude in training, was sent out on loan to Oxford where he did nothing. Has disappeared ever since.

Mattia Lanzano - Featured in about 5 games for Town but got home sick and never adjusted to the English game. Last played at Macclesfield. Rumours had him leaving the club in January but changed his mind after failing to secure a move to an Italian club.

Callum Kennedy - Started the season as the clubs number 1 left back. Fell out of favour and was replaced by Liam Ridehalgh then later on Alessandro Cibocchi and Jay McEveley. With McEveley likely signing a permanent deal after Barnsley said the were going to release him, it seems Kennedy will be the odd man out. Should have no problem securing a Football League club following loan spells at Rotherham and Gillingham.

Etienne Esajas - Former Sheffield Wednesday winger, disappeared as quickly as he arrived. Hasn`t been seen for weeks.

Lander Gabilondo - Looked a quality signing after great games against Bristol City and Oxford United but was quickly replaced by Raffaele De Vita on the wing. Club tried to loan him out but there were no takers, Appeared against Gillingham on the weekend only because Luke Rooney was bring punished for his part in the infamous drinking session.

Phil Smith - Town`s longest tenured player looks set to leave in the Summer. Has served under several different managers including Dennis Wise, Paul Sturrock, Maurice Malpas, Danny Wilson, Paul Hart and Paolo Di Canio at Town. Was the hero of the penalty shootout in the League One playoff semi final against Charlton and against AFC Wimbledon in the JPT this season. Vanished off the face of the earth when Wes Foderingham arrived. Played again this weekend against Gillingham only because Foderingham was being punished for his part in the infamous drinking session but looked incredibly dodgy and out of position, this could be down to lack of games or reserve games. With Mark Scott and Leigh Bedwell signed for next season, Smith is likely the odd man out.

Lukas Magera - The Czech International was supposed to be Di Canio`s star player but it went all wrong and Magera failed to adjust to the rough and tumble of League Two football. Showed flashes of greatness against higher opposition such as Bristol City and Wigan Athletic. A decent player but not the kind of player who is going to have an impact in League Two.

Ronan Murray, Lee Holmes, Jay McEveley and Jonathan Tehoue will all return to their parent clubs. Holmes has expressed a desire to sign a permanent deal at the County Ground whilst Murray is contracted to Ipswich Town. Tehoue has been told he will never play for Swindon again whilst Town are yet to make a decision on McEveley who has been told he will be released by Barnsley.
