Swindon To Take Luke McCormick On Trial

Swindon Town are set to make another controversial move by bringing shamed goalkeeper Luke McCormick on trial following his release from prison, The BBC reports.

McCormick had been serving 7 years in prison for killing 2 young boys and permanently paralysing their father following a boozy night out at a former team mates wedding.

McCormick crashed his land rover into the car and was later jailed for seven years after he admitted causing death by dangerous driving.

The revelation that McCormick will be on trial has stunned some Town fans stating that after winning family club of the year, should the club sign someone who tore apart a family with his stupid behaviour.

Others have stated that McCormick has done his time and deserves to earn a living whilst most agree his sentence was not long enough.

Prior to being incarcerated, McCormick had been at Plymouth Argyle in the Championship where he made over 130 appearances and was linked with a move to Leicester City alongside former manager Ian Holloway before he was sentenced.
