Lee Holmes Signs For Preston
Lee Holmes will be back at the County Ground next season. Only this time it will not be as a Swindon Town player.
Holmes had been hotly tipped to join Swindon Town on a permanent deal and had said how being at Swindon was the best time of his career, but despite this, Holmes has penned a deal with Preston North End.
Speaking to the Preston North End website, Holmes said, 'I finished last season on loan at Swindon Town from Southampton and managed to win promotion.
'It has been a great couple of years for me but it is time for me to move on, start a fresh and try and build on what you have achieved in your past and take that onto the future.'
It is not known if Town had tried to sign Holmes or if Paolo Di Canio did not see Holmes as part of his plans for next season.
