Gurney Out For Six Weeks

Swindon Town`s Andy Gurney will miss another six weeks as he undergoes a second operation on his injured ankle.

Gurney who returned to Swindon from League One side Swansea City has had a rough time this season with injuries. Gurney had an operation in the summer to sort out his injured ankle and reported back to training early hoping to earn a spot in Dennis Wise` side.

Gurney had been set to return to action for Swindon Town reserves against Yeovil Town reserves last week however he did not feature after suffering some discomfort in his surgically repaired ankle.

He will be sorely missed. I saw him play at the County Ground and Dean Court last season and thought he was awesome!

He is a great player and will be an asset to the team when he is fit again
