Shrews' James Collins Signs For Swindon

Highly rated Shrewsbury Town striker James Collins has become Paolo Di Canio's first Summer signing for Swindon Town.

Collins is a youth product of Aston Villa and had loan spells at Darlington and Burton Albion prior to joining Shrewsbury.

Many had expected Town boss Paolo Di Canio to make a move for Collins following an embrace following the Shrewsbury/Swindon Town clash towards the end of the season.

Collins had been linked with a move to the Championship but has signed a deal to come to Swindon with promotion to the Championship the aim.

Collins was Shrewsbury's top goal scorer last season with 16 goals in all competitions.
