Billy Bodin Agrees Contract With Torquay United

Billy Bodin Agrees Contract With Torquay United

Free Agent Winger Billy Bodin formerly of Swindon Town, has officially signed for Torquay United after agreeing terms with the League Two side.

Both Town and Torquay agreed a fee of £70,000 for the highly rated player but mystery surrounds the future of father Paul who is currently youth team manager at Swindon Town.

Unless something was lost in translation it appears that Swindon legend Paul Bodin advised Billy not to sign the Swindon contract he was offered and go elsewhere.

In Today's Swindon Advertiser Town manager Paolo Di Canio states that Paul wished for Billy to train with the Swindon Town first team when they returned to training last week, but Di Canio said no as his contract expired and Billy had yet to sign a new one this appearing to cause friction between the two.

From the outside it appears there has been a falling out between Bodin senior and Di Canio over the treatment of Billy, but we will reserve judgement until all the facts come to light.

Billy Bodin has agreed a two year contract at the Plainmoor outfit.
