Shaun Taylor Leaves Forest Green

Swindon Town Legend and Forest Green Assistant Manager Shaun Taylor has left Conference side Forest Green Rovers.

Rovers who have only 1 point this season in the conference are one of the favourites to be relegated this season despite going full time, bringing in several new players and moving to a new stadium.

Forest Green Chairman Colin Gardiner told the BBC that the club and Taylor and Manager Gary Owers had agreed to part ways after a dissapointing start to the new season. It was then 'mutually agreed to terminate their (Owers' and Taylor's) employment with immediate effect'.

Paul Wanless will take over as interim manager at Forest Green.

Taylor spent time at Bristol City as a player and a coach after leaving Swindon Town.

Great player in his day. Used to say Shaun would put his head in where others would be scared to put a boot in.
