Swindon Make Bid For Barnard?
According to the Daily Star, Swindon Town have made a bid to sign forgotten Southampton striker Lee Barnard.
Barnard was a scoring machine at Southend scoring 37 goals in 75 games. His rich vain of form continued as he slotted home 23 goals in 62 appearances for the Saints.
Barnard is currently under contract until 2014 after signing a contract extension in 2011.
We think this story whilst it may have some truth to it, we cannot see Swindon Town shelling out the £500,000 fee that the red top has quoted.
