Mystery Surrounds Caddis' Swindon Future

Mystery surrounds the future of Paul Caddis and his future at Swindon Town following an eventful day at the County Ground.

Caddis was stripped of the captaincy earlier on today and the media found out shortly after the Caddis would not feature in Town's Capital One Cup match against Brighton tomorrow evening at the County Ground.

Reading between the lines it appears that Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio and former captain Paul Caddis have had a falling out following a press conference today where Di Canio confirmed that Alan McCormack is the clubs new captain.

Speaking to the Swindon Advertiser, Di Canio said, "The captain of my squad must be the one who delivers to the rest of the dressing room my words, my principles, my values and the way we want to behave as a professional.

"You have to respect hierarchy, and Macca proved to me I could count on him last year, so in this moment he is the perfect example."

The Adver also revealed that Caddis will not take part in Town`s Capital One Cup match against Brighton & Hove Albion at the County Ground tomorrow.

Paolo did not give any reason as to why Caddis would not be included tomorrow, but it appears that he has either fallen out with Di Canio in which case we hope these issues get resolved as Caddis is our best player or it could be a case that Caddis is on the move to another club.

The Mystery continues.
