- Crawley Town Football Club was formed in 1896 and joined the West Sussex League.

- Crawley Town`s record transfer fee is believed to be in the region of £250,000. This is also a Conference record for a player paid by former manager Steve Evans for prolific striker Richard Brodie from York City. Brodie had scored 53 goals between 2007-2010 and big things were expected however this never materialised and Brodie was soon sent out on loan to Fleetwood Town and Morecambe.

- Crawley Town`s historical rivals are Aldershot Town and Woking however there is also a dislike for Brighton & Hove Albion.
