Cibocchi Dances Out Of Swindon

Left back Alessandro Cibocchi has left Swindon Town today after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Cibocchi stated he was leaving the club for family reasons and will return to Italy.

Cibocchi became a cult hero at Swindon Town with his Tweets on Twitter and his overall dedication to the Swindon Town cause. Cibocchi had stated several times he wanted to spend the rest of his career at Swindon Town.

Out of all the foreign players Paolo Di Canio brought in last season, Cibocchi was the only one who seemed to really make the grade.

Cibocchi made 26 appearances for Town and was listed among the substitutes last night during Town`s 3-0 win over Crawley Town.

Speaking to the Official Swindon Town website, Cibocchi thanked the Swindon Town fans for taking him to their hearts, "I would like to thank all the Swindon fans and everyone at the club," Cibocchi told the club's official website.

"Also thank you to my teammates for the past year I have had with the club because they have all made me feel very welcome and helped me.

"The fans used to sing 'dance with Cibocchi` but I cannot do that anymore! I have enjoyed my time with Swindon Town and wish them success this season."

Cibocchi is a top man and we at Vital Swindon Town wish Cibocchi the very best of luck for the future!
