Swindon Town captain Ady Williams and midfielder Andy Monkhouse are fighting to get fit for Saturday's trip to the Racecourse to play Wrexham.
Ady Williams - Vocal at the back
Williams who joined Town from Coventry is currently suffering from a strained knee medial ligament and will be a late addition to the squad should he be lucky.
Williams who has been capped 13 times by Wales is hoping to fill the massive void left by Jerel Ifil who will miss the game due to a suspension.
"There's still some pain there and with these things you've got to let nature take its course.' Williams said after a light training session at Swindon's Wanborough training ground.
"It is frustrating though, no-one likes being injured. I think the situation will become clearer by the end of the week." Williams finished.
Andy Monkhouse - What's Wrong?
Andy Monkhouse who left Town's game against Darlington 2 weeks ago will have a scan to see what exactly is aggrevating his hamstring.
Monkhouse who was just finding his niche opposite Ricky Shakes thought he was ready to come back to Swindon's starting XI before a set back cancelled those plans. Monkhouse said his hamstring 'just didn't feel right' and so the club made the decision to send Monkhouse for a scan.
'I have had the scan and I'm hoping that it will tell me what is wrong, then hopefully I can be back in action in a couple of weeks,' said Monkhouse.
'To be honest, it has been a nightmare. It is weird because I've never had a problem like this before and it has gone on longer than I thought.'
'I was working okay one on one with Dick (Mackey) the other week and looking towards the Chester game. But then last Tuesday in training it just didn't feel right, so the decision was made to send me for a scan.'
Gareth Whalley will be out for a minimum 4 weeks whilst he still recovers from injury. Many are already saying that Whalley looks like another 'Stefani Miglioranzi' who spent a good portion of his Swindon career on the sidelines with injuries.
Andy Gurney will be ruled out as he recovers from a second operation on his ankle. Dennis Wise has stepped up his training after a rib injury. Gus Poyet has done some light training after minor problems with a hamstring.
