O'Hanlon Avoids Hostile Swindon

Former Swindon Town captain Sean O`Hanlon will not feature tomorrow when his new team Wimbl…uhhh MK Dons play Swindon Town at the County Ground.

O`Hanlon has managed to avoid a hostile reception at the County Ground by picking up an injury, and it couldn`t come at a better time.

O`Hanlon angered the Swindon faithful when he said he was going to sign a new three year contract to remain at Swindon and was just crossing the T`s and dotting the I`s. O`Hanlon made it sound as if he would only leave Swindon if a bigger club came in for him, which was understandable. Every player has ambitions to play at a higher level.

Amazingly O`Hanlon did a 360 degree turn around and took the dirty money of the MK Dons and spat in the face of the fans who supported him despite not having the best of season`s last year.

O`Hanlon decided that despite Milton Keynes stealing another Town`s club (Wimbledon) they were a sleeping giant. How can you be a sleeping giant with no history? I`m sure the promise of more money and a brand new 30,000 seat stadium that will house the 4,000 or so MK Dons 'fans' will have swung the deal in favour of the 'franchise'.

O`Hanlon joined Swindon from Everton after a successful loan spell and prospered under former Swindon manager Andy King. King made O`Hanlon his captain and Sean O` appeared never to look back. When Swindon got off to a bad start by losing 10 in a row last season, Andy King was sacked and O`Hanlon made it clear he thanked King for his success.

O`Hanlon, you may not be able to play tomorrow but rest assured, New Years Day 2007 the sold out away end full of Swindon fans will let you know exactly how they feel like so many before who have betrayed them.
