Next 48 Hours Crucial For Swindon Town's Future

The future of Swindon Town FC hangs in the balance after last nights 0-0 draw with Leyton Orient.

The club were hoping to wrap up a takeover deal with a local consortium but news coming out of the club last night was nearly non-existent.

No one seems to know what is happening at the moment however the next 48 hours could be crucial. The only official stance is the club is still negotiating with a potential owner.

Several rumours over the past 24 hours have come to light including, Principle Shareholder Andrew Black has said he wants out ASAP and it doesn`t look as if he will fund the club past January meaning Town may now look to sell players to avoid administration. Also the owners of Banbury United are interested in buying the club, whilst Banbury United may be the biggest club in Oxfordshire, let`s be honest crowds of 20 or 30 are slightly different to 9,000 week in and week out.

If you`re a reader of the Daily Mail however, the world is ending and we are certs to go into administration and lose 10 points. In fact the writers have already slit their wrists.

Fact is, we have been told we should know more by the end of the week, the clock is ticking! Let`s hope it`s good news, we are only 6 points off the top, surely a championship club is a better proposition for prospective owners.
