Pack's Swindon Move Seemingly Off

Pack's Swindon Move Seemingly Off

Cheltenham boss Mark Yates told BBC Sport that he wants Marlon Pack to remain at Whaddon Road after his move to Swindon Town fell through thanks to the Football League refusing to allow Town to sign new players on transfer deadline day.

With Swindon Town's takeover still not complete, Pack was back in the starting XI and Yates was impressed by his attitude.

Speaking to BBC Sport Yates said, 'There was a chance he was on his way a couple of weeks ago, and I wouldn't have stood in his way.

Whats more concerning is that despite Swindon saying the move may be completed when the takeover is finally ratified, Cheltenham claim they have heard very little from the County Ground.

'We've had very little contact with Swindon.' Yates said, 'As a far as I'm concerned I'm not even sure I want to be doing anything.'

Swindon winger Luke Rooney was set to move the other way with Swindon paying £100,000 for Pack to remain at the County Ground at the end of the season.
