May 2011 - Paolo Di Canio is named manager of Swindon Town following relegation to League Two.
August 2011 - Win first game of Paolo's reign 3-0 at the County Ground but lose the next three including a 2-1 loss to local rivals Oxford United which has some fans questioning whether hiring Di Canio was the right thing to do.
30th August 2011 - Di Canio falls out with striker Leon Clarke after he was told to go and train the following day after a 3-1 loss in the Captain One Cup to Southampton.
31st December 2011 - Paolo Di Canio runs the length of the pitch to celebrate with his players after a late goal from Alan McCormack.
7th January 2012 - Swindon Town cause an FA Cup shock by beating Premier League side Wigan Athletic 2-1 at the County Ground.
21st January 2012 - Di Canio is sent to the stands and famously declares 'send me to the stands every game, I don't care, I'll win this league anyway' (and he did).
7th February 2012 - Exactly a month after beating Wigan in the FA Cup, Swindon Town reach the final of the Johnstones Paint Trophy.
25th March 2012 - Swindon Town lose the Johnstones Paint Trophy final 2-0 to League One side Chesterfield at Wembley Stadium.
14th April 2012 - Town beat Plymouth 1-0 and need one point to guarantee promotion back to League One.
21st April 2012 - Despite losing 1-0 at Aldershot earlier in the week and losing 3-1 to Gillingham on the 21st April, promotion to League One is secured after Torquay lose their match.
28th April 2012 - Swindon Town win the League Two title after thrashing Port Vale 5-0 at the County Ground.
30th May 2012 - Paolo Di Canio signs new contract with Swindon Town.
August 2013 - Di Canio strips title winning captain Paul Caddis of the team captaincy saying his mentality had changed.
August 2012 - A new look Town squad carry on from the previous season winning 4 out of their 5 first games.
2nd September 2012 - Town lose 4-1 at Preston North End and famously substitutes goalkeeper Wes Foderingham after 20 minutes and replaces him with young keeper Leigh Bedwell.
3rd September 2012 - Di Canio slams Foderingham saying Wes was nothing before Di Canio and to apologise to the fans otherwise he will never play for Swindon again.
15th October 2012 - Jeremy Wray is removed as chariman at the club and replaced by Diplomat Sir William Patey.
30th October 2012 - Town play Premier League Aston Villa in the Capital One Cup. Despite going 2-0 down, 2 goals from youngster Miles Storey brings the club back to 2-2. A last minute goal from Christian Benteke ends Town's dreams of reaching Wembley again.
December 2012/January 2013 - Town put together a string of impressive performances which see them win 5-0,5-0 and 4-0 over the three games.
17th January 2013 - News breaks that Swindon Town desperately need money or face administration.
31st January 2013 - Swindon Town agree in principle new ownership of the club avoiding the threat of administration.
30th January 2013 - In a shock move, Midfielder Matt Ritchie is sold to promotion rivals AFC Bournemouth.
31st January 2013 - Swindon Town agree deals to bring Danny Green, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Marlon Pack to the County Ground. Luke Rooney agrees to join Cheltenham in exchange for Pack.
1 February 2013 - The Football League refuses to allow Town to sign Green, Wright-Phillips or Pack until the takeover of the club has been ratified by the Football League.
1 February 2013 - Paolo Di Canio releases statement saying he is considering his position as Swindon Town manager after having many broken promises by the board. Says he only stayed at the club because of the fans. Fumed that Matt Ritchie was sold behind his back.
2 February 2013 - Town draw 1-1 away to Crawley Town where Town fans beg Di Canio to stay.
9th February 2013 - Town fans stand for 1 minute on 10 minutes during our match against Hartlepool United chanting 'Stand Up For Di Canio' begging him to stay. Whilst Di Canio said the reception was special, he wouldn't assure fans he would stay.
12th February 2013 - Paolo Di Canio resigns as Swindon Town manager however decides to stay as long as the takeover of the club is approved by the Football League by 5pm on the 18th February 2013.
18th February 2013 - Paolo Di Canio releases a statement to the Swindon Advertiser saying that he has resigned as manager of the club.
