Players Happy With Ince At Swindon

Despite speculation that Swindon Town players are showing resentment towards Paul Ince, Ricky Shakes has confirmed that the players at Swindon love having him at the club.

Postings on various Swindon Town forums over the weekend have said that players were upset that Paul Ince went straight into the first team despite not being fit. The person also claimed that the other players at the club were very upset at Ince's wages.

According to Ricky Shakes this report is false. 'He is part of the team and he does not look down on anyone else. He has a laugh and a joke with us and plays his role.' Shakes said.

'He is massively experienced and he helps us all out, just giving us little bits of advice here and there. It's great having him around.' Said Shakes.

There are various things happening at the club every day, but it appears that some fans are blowing a report by BBC Radio Swindon out of proportion and making it appear it is all doom and gloom at the club.

The fact that Paul Ince was substitued at half time should show there is no bias from manager Dennis Wise towards his best friend. Hopefully the club will make matters all the more clearer in the coming week.

Sounds to me, or might guess at, that some-one is trying to stir up unnecessary trouble out of nothing. (might be ol 'rodge' of MK Donuts). I personally have doubts over the Paul Ince situation, I can't help looking back at the Neil Rudduck fiasco we had, and how that nearly imploded the club. But I'm hoping Paul's experience and character will be an overall major benefit.

Yey know what you mean. It is no secret that Ince is on big money.I hope Ince improves as so far have not been impressed and have felt he has not brought anything to the team but it is early days.

I don't its 'pathetic to view a concern. Its not the person but the cost to a club that not ago struggled to pay its bills. With this situation in mind Sir Seton Wills had to put hand into his pocket as we had broken the 60% ruling on the finances to get Paul on board. So its not the onfield lack of performance from him, which agreed is to early to judge, but are paying a lot for an unproved player coach that can we honestly afford.
