Wise Linked To Leeds United Job

Swindon Town Manager Dennis Wise has been linked to the vacant Managers role at Leeds United after Kevin Blackwell was sacked.

Wise who joined Swindon in the Summer along with Gus Poyet has started the season 7-0-2 and has strong links with Leeds Chairman Ken Bates.

Bates is the godfather of one of Wise's kids and has done well this season despite a limited budget. Wise who used to manage Millwall took them to the F.A. Cup Final in his previous managerial role.

Wise is the bookies favourite to replace Blackwell.

Would Wise leave Swindon after 9 games to go to Leeds? I would like to think that Wise is the type of man that likes to finish what he starts.

Should Wise leave, he would likely take Gus Poyet with him which would leave the managers role free for Paul Ince to take.

We must stress that Swindon Town have yet to be approached officially or unofficially by Leeds about Dennis Wise.

Other names linked to the job are Alan Curbishley and Claudio Ranieri.

Its that Ken Bates again - he took Glen Hoddle away from us, but this time I can understand Wisey moving on and good luck to him if he does. Although Swindon could make it to the Championship, Leeds are already there, and potentially a Premier side.

I really hope that wise does not walk out on us too.
