Swindon Town Accept Bristol City Flint Bid

Swindon Town Accept Bristol City Flint Bid

BBC Radio Swindon is this evening reporting that Swindon Town have accepted a improved bid for defender Aden Flint who put in a transfer request this week.

Flint who Town plucked from Non League Obscurity at Alfreton Town, played over 70 times for Town and decided to repay the faith shown to him by Swindon by slapping in a transfer request to join the second biggest club in Bristol earlier in the week which had been rejected by the club.

Whilst Flint gave us "that goal" at Brentford, it`s clear he feels his stock will never be higher and will join fellow Town allum Matt Heywood by crossing the divide for City`s riches instead of staying at a club that would give him guaranteed game time.

It is not clear how much the fee is, although we believe it to be in the region of £300,000 which isn`t bad for a player who only uses his head.

We look forward to watching Flint`s career fizzles out the same way Heywood`s did as he sits on the bench at Ashton Gate.
